Promotion and Tourism

Before people can “travel and tour” they first have to understand and see the specific area of interest(s) that matter to them.  Many Americans will tell you that Australia is on their bucket list and AUSA-Connect’s mission is to get more Americans to check Australia off their list by making these important connections.

Australians travel to the U.S. regularly and our goal with AUSA-Connect is to get Aussies to see more of America beyond great cities such as Los Angeles and New York.  We will ensure Aussie’s time and investments in America are maximized and set to appeal to the Australian traveler or adventurer wherever in America their interests might lead.

By promoting these important connections we will get more Australians and Americans to visit each country and create meaningful bonds that will impact friends, social circles, social media, and traditional media to create more than just tourism opportunities.

Some great examples:

  • The MCG of America –  Ohio Stadium is the greatest football venue in America. Nearly 100 years old, capacity of more than 108,000 and home to one of the most storied football programs in the state where professional football began; this landmark is a must experience for any sports fan.
  • Hit the Roads –  America’s historic Route 66 and Australia’s Great Ocean Road are incredible road trip experiences that will bring you across different landmarks and towns through both countries. America boasts other great routes through small towns just like the Outback that give a more authentic American and Australian experience.
  • Tennis and Golf – Tennis Australia runs one of the best tournaments in the world which happens to be the first major of the year at historic Melbourne Park. Australians have burst on to the international golf and tennis scenes creating more interest in these global sports. Kooyong, the spiritual home of Australian tennis, and other great venues in Tasmania, Perth, Brisbane, and Sydney provide great reasons for tennis fans to see more of Australia. The Australian Masters features the world’s top talent in golf and Australia boasts some of the best golf courses in the world to play.
